Moroccan BathOrchid Spa

A Moroccan bath (Hammam) is a traditional, luxurious cleansing ritual that uses steam, black soap, and a, kessa glove for deep exfoliation to remove dead skin cells and rejuvenate the body. Common in spas across the UAE, it improves circulation and leaves skin smooth.

The Moroccan Bath Process

At Orchid Spa, when you book a Moroccan bath in Dubai, you'll be paired with one of our skilled and friendly European or Asian therapists. The treatment takes place in a luxurious, private steam room on a warm marble table.

The process begins with 5 minutes in the steam to prepare your skin and pores. The therapist will then pour warm water over you and apply black Moroccan soap, letting it work for another 10 to 15 minutes in the steam. This helps cleanse your skin thoroughly.

After the soap has had time to work, warm water is used to rinse you off. Next, the therapist will exfoliate your skin with a special glove, using gentle circular and linear motions.

If you choose to have a full-body oil massage before your Moroccan bath, the black Moroccan soap will remove any excess oil. Finally, your body is rinsed with warm water to eliminate dead skin cells, oil, and remaining soap. The treatment concludes with a mineral full-body mask to moisturize and protect your skin.
